Please play nice - It might not amount to much, but this is our own little corner of the Dream that is the SCA. While it may lack the formality of an actual event, please try to uphold the basic ideals that we cherish: honor, manners, grace, chivalry, and respect. Respect rules of conduct - There are a few basic rules for conduct within #SCA. In fact, it's not really even fair to call them rules, they exist more as suggested guidelines. To this end, please remember that we are a family oriented social channel, so avoid foul or inappropriate language and sound files, and conduct which can be considered harrassment. This means you should not continue to send private messages to someone if they've asked you to desist, or continue a conversational track which offends the population in general. You may be removed from channel for consistent behaviour which is deemed to be excessively annoying or irritating by the channel ops and populace. Be careful of who you ignore - We understand that sometimes, you just have to ignore someone because you don't care to deal with them. The only time we ask you to watch this policy is in the case of channel ops. They won't ignore anyone in channel, so please don't ignore them. You can informally not pay attention to them, but do not block them in your software. We ask this to keep lines of communication open within the channel. Use discretion in your topics - We don't want to dictate what you can and cannot talk about. Please use your judgement and limit conversation to topics which pertain to the Society, historical research, or the channel itself. Avoiding some hotspot topics such as sex, politics, and religion can keep the channel from exploding into a flaming cauldron of turmoil and mixed metaphors. You can try to converse at your discretion, but as always, with any of these policies, you can do as you like as long as you are prepared to deal with the consequences. Adult time - from the hours of 12AM to 6AM Central Time, the rules are loosened a little to allow more adult-style conversation. Please remember to maintain our basic rules of conduct, and do not abuse the priviledge. Use your best judgement. In the case of any dispute of channel policies, please email the channel owner or message in channel. The current channel owner is Matthias. Disputes will be handled through the body of channel operators at large, and random channel regulars to balance the field of opinion.
